This renowned State Registered Nurse (S.R.N) training school and also as Ivy League institution received full recognition by the Nursing Council of England and Wale in 1965. The approval of the school of nursing Emekuku as a centre for formal training of Nurses by the Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria dates back to 1953.

In pursuit of this aim and in the spirit of care to the less privileged and the needy, this great and noble institution continued to wax from strength to strength and excel over the years both in academics and extra-curricula activities. Alumni from the Holy Rosary Hospital School of Nursing are now scattered in various continents of the world for example, Britain United States of America , United Arab Republic, Ireland, Australia mention a few rendering quality nursing care and assistance to mankind in different facets of Healthcare Delivery System.

The school’s success has been maintained through focused administrative leadership of both religious and secular under the leadership of His Grace, the Archbishop of Owerri.
