Our new state-of-the-art Out Patients Department is nearing completion and will be due to launch in the last quarter of 2009.
During a recent site visit, the RCSI Project Manager leading this project, Mr. Emeka Okereke said that
‘RCSI has a strong commitment to this project and will do her best to support Owerri Archdiocese & Holy Rosary Hospital to ensure successful completion. Over the next three years, we will setup a mechanism to monitor the overall success of this project and will be happy to see the much desired impact:
• Improved livelihood of many disadvantaged and poor communities in this region through improved primary healthcare services.
• Promotion of sustainable development and improved livelihood security.
• Support for the local communities and organisation to respond effectively to the HIV pandemic through programmes of prevention, care and support.’
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) demonstrated their commitment to this project by raising excess of 30 Million Naira through Irish Aid (Civil Society Fund) to ensure the completion of this project. For more details on this project, please click here.
